The preparation of Mitmita is similar to that of berbere. However, while berbere is made with red pepper, mitmita is made with chili pepper making it very hot and spicy. It is usually served with Ethiopian ‘Tire Siga’(raw meat). Sometimes it is also served with injera in a coffee ceremony or with other drinks as ‘punakurs’ (snack).
